Tuesday nights are our main mediation night, meeting every week. We also offer our “Introduction to Budhist Mediation and Sangha Sit.” Please note that this meeting is going weekly from bi-weekly, starting February 3, 2018! Periodically throughout the year we offer special classes on Thursday nights.
One on One Mentoring with Lisa Ernst is a valuable tool in receiving guidance from an experienced meditation teacher. It’s a chance to learn and deepen your practice from the ground up, whether you are a beginner, intermediate or experienced meditator.
During these challenging and chaotic times, how do we best utilize meditation and mindfulness practice to prepare for and meet these often daily challenges? In this workshop we will identify and apply practices that support our mental stability, help us step out of our reactive patterns and reset our hearts to continue our journey with loving attentiveness and wise action. We will also identify practical approaches and insights for staying engaged in our communities and beyond.
Each spring the earth awakens from its winter slumber as the days grow warmer and longer. Surrounded by newly leafed trees and rolling hills, we will renew our minds and hearts in the simple yet profound practice of sitting and walking meditation. Gradually this practice leads us to intimacy with all of life as we touch the present moment with a kind and open heart. This silent retreat is suitable for newer and more experienced students.
Yes, another two week tour is scheduled for November 2018! This year’s tour with Lisa will be covering some new ground, traveling through the Himalayan foothills of India and Nepal. We will be spending some time with the exiled Tibetan community in Dharamsala, visiting the Buddha’s birthplace at Lumbini, having a short retreat in a mountain monastery, and exploring the ancient shrines of Kathmandu.
