Our Meditation Practice Schedule Monday Nights, 7 - 8:30 Our main meditation night, meeting every Monday. We start with a guided metta meditation, followed by sitting and walking. We complete the session with the Diamond Sutra chant and discussion. People of all levels of experience are welcome, from newcomers to experienced meditatators. For your first time meditating with us, please be sure to arrive 15 minutes early for orientation.
Second and Fourth Wednesdays of Each Month, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday Practice Group is appropriate for people with all levels of meditation experience, although it is especially focused on practice and guidance for newer meditators. The format is simple -- 40 minutes of sitting with a bell at 20 minutes for those who wish to stretch their legs, a short chant, and an open discussion after meditation about practice. Focus is on the basics of sitting practice, how to establish and maintain a strong daily practice, how to work with distractions and blocks to practice, and any other issues those attending would like to address. For your first time meditating with us, please plan to arrive 15 minutes early for orientation. Everyone is welcome to attend. For more information, contact us here.
2nd and 4th Saturdays of Each Month, 10 - 11:30 a.m.
Dharma Study Group This is an open group for people who enjoy discussing and learning about Buddhism and finding ways of bringing Buddhist practice into everyday life. We start with a short meditation and dharma talk on CD by an established teacher, then have an open, informal discussion for the remaining time. Newcomers can join at any time. Every 2nd and 4th Saturday from 10:00 – 11:30 AM. For more information, contact Rana Mukherji at rana_mukherji@yahoo.com
Upcoming topics: February 13 and 27; Radical Acceptance by Tara Brach
Support for our Meetings There is no charge to attend any of our meetings, but donations are appreciated. One Dharma relies on the generosity of those who practice with us to cover the cost of rent and related expenses.
