What to Expect from the Mentoring Process with Lisa

Whether you’re brand new to working with a teacher or have some experience, I find it’s helpful to share a few reflections about how this process tends to unfold.

🧭 This is a collaborative exploration
Rather than offering advice or fixed answers, I’m here to help you turn toward your experience with curiosity and compassion. My role isn’t to “analyze” or “fix” you, but to walk alongside you as you deepen your insight and understanding of your own mind and heart.
🌱 The process is emergent
Sometimes, there may be a clear issue or question you want to explore. Other times, what arises might feel quiet or unclear. That’s completely natural. Often, the most fruitful territory is discovered by staying with what feels “stuck,” vague, or even boring. That’s where deeper patterns can begin to shift.
💬 What you bring matters
If something isn’t clicking—or if something is—please name it. If you feel resistant, uncertain, or disappointed, that too can be a doorway into the work. And you’re never expected to have something “important” to talk about. We’re simply meeting life as it is, with presence and care.
🤝 A few suggestions
* You might reflect before each session on what’s alive for you—emotionally, spiritually, or in your practice.
* Feel free to bring in journaling, dreams, conflicts, or even silence.
* I’ll offer practices, perspectives, suggestions and sometimes challenges—but always in support of your own inner wisdom.
