Dharma Study Session – The Buddha’s Teachings on No-Self
Saturday, October 2, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Zoom
Led by Jeff Samuels, Ph.D.
In this study seminar, we will explore the Buddhist concept of no-self by first discussing the two truths, to which the Buddha makes reference. We will also examine not only what the Buddha is denying with regard to no-self, but also what is being posited in its place, namely the five aggregates. Finally, we will investigate how rebirth is possible and why following a moral code is necessary despite no-self. All experience levels welcome.
Cost is $25 and can be paid at the Paypal button below. Checks are also accepted: One Dharma Nashville, P.O. Box 158533, Nashville, Tn 37215. Please include your email address. A Zoom link will be provided in advance of the session. You’ll also have an opportunity to offer dana to the teacher at the end of the session. For questions, email onedharmaretreat@gmail.com.
